"It was an exciting finish but it was good to give our supporters something to cheer about. That was the pleasing thing for us."

Andy Kirk felt relieved that Dunfermline pulled back from a goal down to Falkirk and so maintained their unbeaten home record:-

"We were disappointed that we didn't play well at all in the first half. We came out and showed a bit more second half so we have to be happy with the result but disappointed in the way we performed.

"The Manager had a go at us at half time; just told us to get our fingers out, everybody needed to lift and show what we are capable of. I think in the second half we were better from our point of view but still not to the standard that we would be happy with."

Falkirk's goal coming 12 minutes from time was a rude awakening:-

"To go a go down with not long left, you think it might not be your night but there's a lot of character in our team; strong characters who have that mentality where we don't know when we are beat. As long as we can keep that going it will serve us well towards the end of the season."

Andy agreed that it had been a frustrating night for him with the Falkirk defence diving in to prevent him scoring more than once before he eventually spun and hit the net in 85 minutes:-

"I had one in the first half when I went down the outside but didn't catch it right. Second half I had one blocked and hit one that went wide of the far post. A couple more half efforts before the one that just dropped for me. I knew when it came that I had to take a touch and hit it quick because at the angle that it was coming at I knew that there would be defenders coming out. I was just delighted to see it hit the corner (of the net). I wasn't passing that; you sort of know when the ball dropped that if I kept on target I had a chance of it going in. That's my game scoring goals, not giving the keeper much of a chance."

The equaliser set it up for a cup tie style finish:-

Fifteen games to go and the draw leaves the Pars one point behind Raith Rovers Andy maintained that there's a long road still ahead in the race for the First Division title this season:-

"There are a lot of hard teams in our league. Raith are still there and Falkirk and ourselves are chasing so it is going to be an exciting run in. We need to keep fighting. Obviously it would have been great for us if we had gone top but we didn't deserve to win on our first half performance. We are not happy with the way we played but there are positives to take out of it. We didn't get beat and we have kept that unbeaten record in tact."
