Liam Buchanan returns to Cowdenbeath to score for Dunfermline
Liam Buchanan was delighted to get off the mark in just his second match for Dunfermline
"It is more important that we got the three points today but it is great on a personal note that I got a goal. Hopefully I can kick on on Tuesday and get a couple more."
Against Cowdenbeath all four goals came in the second half and that followed a first 45 where Dunfermline had looked threatening but failed to score.
"At half time we felt we were playing well enough, we just need to find that end product. At the back we were tremendous and didn't really look like we were going to concede.
"David Graham showed great composure with his finish for the first goal, that relaxed us and allowed us to come into the play more. It was altogether a great team performance and the workrate was great."
Next up is Falkirk - the game in hand that Dunfermline have over league leaders by two points, Raith.
"We can look forward to Tuesday and take confidence out of this win at Cowdenbeath. We will take care of ourselves and hopefully others will slip up. We need to take advantage of it."
Liam Buchanan scores for Dunfermline
Liam has made his first two starts for Dunfermline against his two former teams so for him Falkirk are welcome opponents:-
"It will be nice to play against that I have not played for. I am looking forward to it, the boys will rest up and be ready for Tuesday. I have played Falkirk a couple of times this season with Partick. We put them out of the cup but they are a good side and Dunfermline must show them respect. We will be full of confidence."
Liam Buchanan celebrates his first Pars goal with Joe Cardle
Liam is enjoying the pace that the Pars go forward go forward with:-
"Davie Graham and Joe Cardle like to get wide and get crosses into the box. Martin will give us a bit more dig in the middle of the park so altogether it is looking like a solid and exciting team going forward.
"Martin was at Thistle with me, he will add something different to the team - that physicalness in the middle of the park that we maybe don't have. Everybody adds something to the team."
Liam is looking for more success for the Pars on Tuesday
