Bell turns up the music
Monday, 13th Sep 2010Pars Man of the Match Steven Bell's ears should should soon be straining with different tones since his wife is due give birth today!
Man of the Match Steven Bell emerged from a dressing room on Saturday that was ringing with the sounds of success. Each player has three songs each on an i-pod and a win means music to the ears as they shower.
"I am delighted with the win, it is big for us because Dundee are a good team. They are obviously going to be up there challenging so to come away with three points is good. The way we played was pleasing as well.
Steven Bell was a hat-trick hero v Morton last season
"I am trying to get as many goals as I can; I got double figures last season and I am hoping to beat that again. To get a goal was good" but reminded of a fresh air attempt in the first half Steven added "thanks for mentioning that. I got a wee bit of stick after the game about that. I am just glad I popped up to score the second. Straight away I put my hand up to say sorry, it was a bad effort."
The 25 year old Pars midfielder came close again with the first chance of the second half:-
"It was a great ball in from Joe Cardle and big Andy Dowie was saying that the left back did really well to get across. I was just about to nod it in when he headered it off my head. It was a great delivery but great defending from them. I was a bit disappointed not to score.
"They had a wee chance when they went 2-1 up. Big Chris Smith had a good save from Griffiths then we went up the park and scored. We were delighted with the way that third one came about so it was a happy dressing room."
After revealing Andy Dowie as the Meat Loaf fan and Joe Cardle with the poorest taste in music, Steven's ears should should soon be straining with different tones since his wife is due give birth today!
