Wullie Gibson Moves to Crawley Town
Monday, 31st Jan 2011Wullie Gibson has agreed a move to Crawley Town.
DAFC have accepted a bid from Crawley Town for the transfer of Wullie Gibson.
Wullie, who turned down a move to Crawley in the summer transfer window, has accepted the offer from Crawley Town.
DAFC manager Jim McIntyre said "Wullie had 4 months of his contract remaining, but has been an important member of the squad since he arrived here 18 months ago. Crawley made an offer that Willie couldn't refuse. He leaves with our best wishes for the future."
Wullie Gibson commented, "It's a fantastic opportunity for me, and I'd like to thank everyone at the club for my time here. The manager and Cabie (Gerry McCabe) have been fantastic, the physio Gerry Docherty and all the lads. The club have a fantastic fan base here and hopefully this will be their year to go up to the SPL."
Asked about the possibility of facing up to the likes of Rooney, Nani and Giggs Wullie said, "I will have to go and try my best to get into the team, but they have been doing well so I'm looking forward to the opportunity."
Jim McIntyre has confirmed that he is working tirelessly to bring in new faces.
