Falkirk return to East End Park for the first time since the final match of the 2006-07 season. It is the first league meeting here in the First Division since the 2-2 draw in January 2000 but the Pars have not won full league points at home against Falkirk since Derek Laing`s winner on 9th October 1993. That was eight league visits back but of course Dunfermline did beat Falkirk 2-0 in the League Cup in October 2002 courtesy of a Stevie Crawford double. The Pars have the upper hand in league meetings at East End, but only just.

The Boxing Day game is a local derby and that always means there`s plenty to play for but with Jim McIntyre`s team top of the league and eight points ahead of the Bairns, the visitors will not want to see that advantage increased despite having two games in hand. There have been only three Dunfermline wins in the last dozen league meetings and five of the games have been defeats.
