"Last year we were not getting these kind of victories; we would maybe have drawn 0-0 or they would maybe of sneaked one in the last minute but there seems to be a different mentality this year.

David Graham brushed aside the challenges of three Queen of the South defenders before sending over a shot-cum-cross that Joe Cardle turned in for a 87th minute winner.

"With Wullie getting sent off we might have sat in and gone for the draw but obviously the Manager likes to play attacking football and he kept two up front and went three narrow in the middle. Thankfully I got the wee knock down, I played it in for Joe to score and we have ground out the victory."

David was unaware that Joe Cardle had not touched the ball before he turned in the winner but he slammed him jokingly:-

"I think it was the only touch he didn't give away when he came on! I think it was going wide so thankfully he was there to turn it in. It was a half cross, half shot - I didn't know if anybody was there, I was just trying to put it back across."

It all looked rather poor for the Pars as for the second game running they had a player sent off. Wullie Gibson's 74th minute red card was a tough decision in the eyes of Graham:-

"I didn't really see anything in it to be fair. I was only a couple of yards away but the ref said he stamped on him but if he stamped on him (Stephen McKenna),  I would have thought the boy would have been writhing about the ground in agony but the boy has got right back up. Wullie said there was nothing in it; it wasn't even a booking. From where I was there was not really anything in it."

The yellow card shown to David Graham was also deemed unwarranted by the midfielder:-

"Who knows? In the last two games I have got booked - last time against Raith I was booked when I was on the bench, I couldn't walk but I got booked for coming back on the pitch apparently. Now I have got booked for nothing and if my bookings mount up I could end up getting suspended."

The referee told him that he was shown the yellow card right at the very end of the game for aggressive behaviour:-

"As far as I'm concerned I just stood there and the boy (Willie McLaren) just put his head into me. He spoke to his linesman and he just said number 11 Dunfermline. These things happen, you just have to get on with it. We won that's the main thing.

"The gaffer drills it into us that we are a right good bunch of players, a good squad and we play decent football that's enjoyable. You want to play that way and the more you do, the more confident you become. Long may it continue."

Asked by the media if he thought it might be Dunfermline's season for promotion, Jim McIntyre's Man of the Match reminded everyone that there are five months to go:-

"Everything here is set up for the Premierleague it is just unfortunate that we are in the First Division; but you have to be there on merit and over the years they haven't done enough to stay in that league or haven't done enough to go up but hopefully we can buck that trend this year. Come the end in May, who knows we might be up there."
