Calum Woods Post Stirling
Sunday, 31st Oct 2010"I was happy to get a goal it is a long time since I cut in and scored a goal like that, so it was good to do that.
Calum Woods spoke after the win over Stirling Albion:-
"They kept us on our toes for the whole game, so it was really good at the end that we came away with a clean sheet. We are delighted with that. They had a few good chances though maybe not clear cut.
"I was happy to get a goal it is a long time since I cut in and scored a goal like that, so it was good to do that. It took the pressure off us which is good to do."
"I scored a header in the CIS Insurance Cup a few weeks ago but it is good to get a goal with my feet. The Manager told me after the game that he had been shouting at me to pass it."
Such goals have become a trade mark for Calum with similar goals being scored at Queen of the South, Airdrie and at East End Park.
"I like to cut in and use my left foot when the space opens. Being two footed is an advantage."
Obviously 23 year old Calum would like to add to his tally at Cappielow next Saturday:-
"We have got a lot of confidence in the team and I think we have got a really good team but we have to take each game as it comes and just try to get the wins."
