DAFC are absolutely delighted to announce that the Purvis Group have agreed terms to continue to be the Club's main shirt sponsor next season. The sponsorship also includes track side, external and match-day programme advertising.
Next year will be particularly significant as it will be the Purvis Group's tenth anniversary as our main shirt sponsor, which demonstrates fantastic loyalty to our football club, from a local based company. This longevity of relationship is unlikely to be matched in modern day Scottish Football. Therefore, to mark this milestone the Club has worked with the Purvis Group to design a new commemorative logo for the shirts for next season. Not only will the number "10" be featured within the head of the Purvis Group's thistle logo, but ten stars will also be included above the head of the thistle. The innovative new design is highlighted below.
Ross McArthur, General Manager, stated:-
"On behalf of the Interim Board I would like to express our sincere thanks to the Purvis Group for their continued support, particularly during such a testing time for our Club. The Purvis Group employs many local people and already supports many worthwhile community activities, so our Club is privileged to have been able to maintain an unbroken 10 year partnership with them.
"It is also important that we acknowledge formally the fact that Bob Purvis supports our Club in many other ways, not least by affording us the time of our Club Chairman, Bob Garmory!
"We continue to work hard behind the scenes looking to secure sponsorship for next season, in whatever league that may be, and we hope that the commitment shown by the Purvis Group will encourage more local businesses to support our Club at this crucial point in our history."
Bob Purvis commented:-
"We are delighted to continue to support DAFC next season, in what will be our tenth year, which is a very significant milestone. We have always tried to support the Club in any way we can, and it is pleasing to see the progress that has been made in a short period since the Club came out of administration.
"The Interim Board's strategy for the Club provides an exciting opportunity to take DAFC forward, imbedded in the community of West Fife, and I hope more local businesses will show their support for the Club over the coming months. The town of Dunfermline, along with the wider local area all benefit from a successful Dunfermline Athletic Football Club."
