may have watched his side exit the Scottish Cup but he is looking forward to making their own cup finals out of matches at the end of this season. Speaking after the 4-0 defeat at Ibrox, JJ said:-

"The last time we came here it was 70 minutes before we lost a goal. Up until that moment we gave them very little but today we lost two goals in the opening twenty minutes. It could have been more and then we lost a goal right after half time.

"We didn't deserve anything other than we got. We couldn't cope and when you come here (Ibrox) and with the boy Little complaining about the fans getting on their backs you try and keep it tight. The longer it goes at 0-0 the more that might start.

"We never put Rangers under any pressure that way because we lost an early goal and then another soon after. Going to 3-0 made it virtually mission impossible in the second half. You only hope that you can go back out there and get an early goal yourself that would give them something to think about but we lost it.

"If you look at the two teams on paper and their experience, it is men against boys. It is not just on paper because on the park tonight it was men against boys and Rangers thoroughly deserved to win by that margin.

"Rangers complained the last two games we played them where we played very well, about us being physical. We never laid a finger on them tonight. If they didn't like what we did the last time, we should have given them more of it and we might have had a better chance. When you don't compete, and I don't mean kicking people off the park, but we competed very well against them in the last two games but tonight we didn't have that belief.

"Since we played them we have had a couple of seventeen year olds come in to the side. It was Callum Morris' first game back for a while and those experienced players that we brought in last week is what this squad needs. You saw the difference last Saturday, we looked a different team and all these boys have done fantastic to get us where we are but they need a wee bit of help now and they will get that.

"Tonight was great but we are out of the Scottish Cup when we were hoping to go and make a name for ourselves, cause a shock. But our cup finals are all about qualifying for a play off place and then gearing ourselves up to the play off matches. These boys that I brought in last week will help these young kids get through these games, I am quite sure of it."
