The last Pars victory at Ibrox was in April 1972, almost 42 years ago. Jim Leishman scored the winning goal that day (as he never forgets to tell us), with the other goals coming from Ken Mackie, Kenny Thomson, plus an own goal from Sandy Jardine.

Dunfermline`s last Scottish Cup win over Rangers was in January 2007 when goals from Jim Hamilton, Stephen Simmonds and Phil McGuire put the Pars three up before Kris Boyd hit two back in the second half. When these teams last met, at East End Park on 30th December Rangers ran out 4-0 winners and the first meeting this season at Ibrox in November ended in a 3-1 win for McCoist`s team.
