Phone a Friend
Wednesday, 22nd Jan 2014Centenary Club Lifeline Members encouraged to "Phone a Friend"
Having only been launched at the end of October last year, The Centenary Club Lifeline recently passed through the 850 member mark, which represents a remarkable take up from Dunfermline Athletic supporters both locally, and worldwide. However, nobody is resting on their laurels and the next target has been set at achieving 1,000 members each paying £240 per year into the fund raising and prize giving scheme.
Once this target is achieved, Dunfermline Athletic will reap £200,000 of cash income spread over the year, whilst members will go into monthly prize draws, such as the £2,013 December superdraw won recently by Dave Dawson. As has been widely reported the Lifeline scheme was already allowed the Club to start planning for next season, by signing up some of our most promising young players.
The next superdraw takes place at the end of the season, when one lucky member will win a brand new Chevrolet Spark LS, supplied by Steve Curtis Cars in Dalgety Bay. For a member to be eligible though, they need to have signed up and commenced their standing order of £20 a month by the 28th February at the very latest.
To achieve the remaining 150 members, the Centenary Club Lifeline Phone A Friend initiative has been launched. Jim Jefferies and some of his first team squad have taken to the phones this week to encourage existing members to "phone a friend" and introduce them to The Lifeline.
Existing members can claim a £10 "thank you" for each new member that signs up with their encouragement! The football club and Centenary Club committee are confident that there are many potential members still out there, perhaps needing a gentle prompt into putting pen to paper (forms are available at East End Park) or via the online application form here: http://www.pars-united.com/cclifeline/join-here/
Therefore, if you have already signed up, please encourage supporters or friends that you know to do likewise. With the manager, board of directors and wider Pars United community already signed up, hopefully at least 1,000 Pars fans will be going into that draw for the new car shortly!
