"I should have scored, there is no doubt about it. It fell to me with a good ball and I take full responsibility; from seven yards out I should be hitting the target. The keeper had to do a bit of work but it just wasn't to be on this occasion."
The 30 year old central defender wasn't the only player to have good early chances, with Buchanan, Graham and Barrowman also rueing missed chances. Alex added:-
"Although we're losing goals, we are also creating chances. I wish we were scoring them, but we are creating them and that's a small positive we have to take."
Alex revealed that
"The intentions when you come to Tyneceasle is to put in a good first fifteen minutes, make sure you're not conceding early goals, make sure they don't get on top of the games and don't give their fans an opportunity to get louder and louder. After that you try to kick on and get hold of the game yourself. Unfortunately that didn't happen today and all of our plans changed after the first minute."
