Worry over Paul Gallacher Injury
Saturday, 17th Dec 2011Pars keeper left Tynecastle Stadium with his arm in a sling
The
Paul left the stadium with his arm in a sling but we caught up with him before he left. Paul said:-
"I think I've got what's known as a "sublux" injury, where my shoulder has popped out when I fell but as I've turned its come back in again. Rudi landed on me awkwardly and so I'm in a little bit of discomfort now, but we'll get a scan next week and see what's happening with it."
A sublux injury is similar to a dislocation of the shoulder, but instead of the joint popping out it just stretches or tears ligaments and then returns to its normal position. However, it does mean there is a doubt over Paul's availability for the Christmas Eve home game against St Johnstone.
Manager Jim McIntyre added, "It looks a sore one and it doesn't look good. Paul is a massive key player for us and hopefully its not as bad as it could be. We'll know more next week."
The Pars haven't had their troubles to seek with injuries in the first half of the season. Paul agreed, "Yeah, we've had no luck with injuries at the club and its annoying that just as we're getting boys back from injury, I might have to miss some games."
