Graham positive for results
Saturday, 17th Dec 2011If we can take all the positives and get a bit of luck, then we'll start taking all three points from games
David Graham says that despite the results, Dunfermline have lots to be positive about given the way the team has played in recent weeks. David said,:-
"There are only two games this season I don't think we've completely turned up at - the Aberdeen game at Pittodrie and the Rangers game here at East End Park - but at every other game we've been in with a chance including the ones at Parkhead and Ibrox where we would normally be written off before the game has started. If we can play like that and take all the positives and get a bit of luck, then we'll start taking all three points from games."
David's own form is definitely adding to the team's positive performances, something that the forward is pleased about. He says, "I'm happy with my form at the moment and I've been playing quite well. I'm delighted that I can do my bit for the team and hopefully I'll continue to help the team climb the table."
As for Saturday's game, David does expect goals, saying "We're out to score goals in all of our games, but I'll take a scrappy one nil win with the goal coming in injury time if it means we take all three points on Saturday."
With the Scottish winters getting worse David says he's in favour of trying summer football :-
"Our winters are definitely getting more harsh and its not ideal to be playing football in but we've got games to play in December so we'll go on and get them played."
Summer football would probably lead to better attendances, although people do go on holiday and that might have a negative impact. But you never know so why not give it a shot and we'll see how it goes."
David also spoke to us about the squad's current injury list, saying,
"There are a few empty seats in the dressing room at the moment! There are boys that you don't really see much because they're in the gym rather than at training. There are also a few youngsters on the bench and they can get thrown in at the deep end when they've maybe not been involved in a senior game before but the manager has limited options and needs to put them in. Throw in that we're at the bottom of the league right now and its more added pressure. If there is one positive thing about the game being called off last week, it's that we have an extra week to get some players back into the squad."
