SFA Youth Cup v Celtic
Wednesday, 14th Dec 2011Under 19s take cup knock out at Lennoxtown
CELTIC 5 DUNFERMLINE 0
Having been postponed at the weekend this Fourth Round SFA Youth Cup tie was played on Wednesday lunchtime at Lennoxtown.
Two goals either side of half time set up the cup holders for a passage into the next round. The first half was a fairly even affair however with neither goalkeeper overburdened and the Pars failed to score from the best chance of the opening 40 minutes. A Kerr Young header at a corner was kept out and then Allan Smith's follow up failed to find the net as well.
After going two behind the Fifers got overrun by Celtic and in the end the home team were comfortable victors.
