Preview Kilmarnock

Wednesday, 7th Dec 2011

Saturday 10 December, 3.00pm
This is Kilmarnock's first visit to East End Park since February 2007 and of course Jim McIntyre welcomes back one of his former clubs.

Dunfermline v Kilmarnock

Dunfermline lie eleventh in the SPL and although they have done well in the recent 2-1 defeats to both sides of the Old Firm they have still to register a win this season in front of their home support. The last home game looked as though it was going the Pars way at 3-1 up with 12 minutes to go but alas that ended 3-3 against Aberdeen.

Kilmarnock provide the next chance to alter that record and it's eight wins to six in the seventeen Premier League games played between the clubs at East End Park, with Killie having a slight advantage on goal difference.

Over the last twelve meetings, Kilmarnock have had the upper hand winning nine of the contests. DA have managed to win only three with one games ending all square.  The last meeting ended up 3-2 for Kilmarnock in a match where Jason Thomson had put the Fifers ahead and then having fallen behind to two Paul Heffernan goals, Ryan Thomson grabbed an equaliser.  Unfortunately Czech defender Zdenek Kroca scored the winner with his first and so far only goal for the Ayrshire club.
