Wallace battles injury

Ryan Wallace feels fit but accepts that it is up to the manager whether or not he plays on Saturday and in the following week's play off semi finals.
"I am still getting a lot of pain because I have a double hernia. It is something I need to deal with over the summer. It is the gaffer's choice on Saturday but I have a funny feeling that he might just leave me out and let me rest for the play offs."
The last 90 minute game that Ryan played was against Rangers in the Scottish Cup in February, he recalled that was a long night:-
"After seven minutes we were one nil down. Rangers have a good team, not playing well but picking up results. That is the sign of a good team and congratulations to them for winning the league but the boys will be out on Saturday to try and get a result that would end their unbeaten run.
"It is more about the play offs now. It is not about Saturday; we have already secured our place in the play offs so it is about getting by and boys being given a chance for a run out and enjoy the game as well. Rangers will bring a big crowd and although Saturday doesn't mean anything to the club, it will bring a bit of finance into the club that it will help the gaffer look at one or two boys.
"It is no secret, he has already said that he is going to play a young team. It will let the young boys show him exactly what they can do and earn them a spot on the bench or in the team for the play offs. I am sure the young boys are looking at it as an opportunity to win a contract for themselves for next season."
The 23 year old striker who joined Dunfermline from East Fife for the start of the 2012-13 season has already surpassed last season's goals tally but admits to not having scored as many as he would have liked to have.
"I have scored double figures at the club and played in various positions but not really played as much as I have last season because of injury. It is more about getting this club promoted than about the number I score. We need to get the club back to where it belongs by getting promoted to the Championship and pushing for the SPL."
The experience from last seasons play off, distasteful though it may be, will help the preparation for this season's play offs. Ryan wasn't fit to play but knows what the disappointment felt like.
Ryan's return on Saturday at Arbroath
"The squad now in comparison to what we had last season is like night and day. We were a very good young team towards the end of the season but if you look about the squad now we have experienced boys who have played at a higher level. The team have had another year to gel together and the manager and coaching staff have done a great job of bringing everybody together so I am sure that the boys will be fired up and ready to go in the play offs.
"Hopefully results will come our way and we will get back to winning ways on Saturday. It would be a good way to go into the play offs."
