New Pitch for Pitreavie

Work begins on laying a new 3G pitch. The seven a side pitch is the first of several improvements that the Club wishes to make at the training ground.

Chairman John Yorkston was at Pitreavie on Friday lunchtime (10th September) to oversee work begin on laying a new 3G pitch. The seven a side pitch is the first of several improvements that the Club wishes to make at the training ground.

"We are all looking forward to having a better facility. It is the most up to date and the team will be able to use it during the bad winter weather. Last season was horrendous for them; they were all over the place trying to get somewhere to train.

"The five a side surface will be upgraded next. It will be shorter fibre and faster, designed specifically for five a side football because the ball is played more on the ground."
