Pars winger Willie Gibson has been subject to a £150,000 bid from Football Conference side, Crawley Town.
The Dunfermline Athletic Board reluctantly accepted the offer but the player has turned down the move south because of a combination of personal terms and personal reasons.
Manager Jim McIntyre said:-
"I am delighted that Willie has decided against the move since he is an important member of our squad."
The 26 year old who joined Dunfermline from Kilmarnock in the close season in 2009 scored 10 goals in 40 appearances in season 2009-10 and also picked up numerous Player of the Year Awards including from the Centenary Club and the Young Pars.
At a press conference on 1st July 2010, co owner Bruce Winfield stated that all Crawley's debts had been cleared and revealed that friends/business acquaintances of his had come onboard as passive shareholders thus meaning the club had money in the bank. Manager Steve Evans had also been told to assemble a squad that could get them into the football league. Crawley Town open their league campaign on Saturday 14th August at home to Grimsby Town.
