Manager Post Arbroath

Jim McIntyre admitted that there was not much between the teams at half time but he was pleased with the way his side went on to win with ease by sticking five goals past Arbroath:-
"We gave Arbroath a present with a free header in the six yard box and you could see the lift that gave them. They had a succession of corners and a bit of pressure after that. In the second half I felt that we started to pass the ball much sharper and quicker. We moved it from side to side better to create one v one with wide players.
"Paul Willis did well to follow the ball off the keeper in to get his first senior goal. The ball got past one defender, the keeper then got a touch and Paul somehow managed to squeeze it by the next one. A wee bit of good fortune but I was delighted for him. After that we were fairly comfortable."
Keeper Darren Hill did his best to restrict Dunfermline up until then.
"He had a couple of great saves and you start to think is this going to be our day or is it going to be one that will come back to haunt you. You just have to keep believing and doing the right things. We need to try and play the way that we know we can to hurt.
"Once we scored that second goal there were waves of attack after that and are thinking that there are more goals here, go and be ruthless. Thankfully we got a few more chances away.
"That's our first two competitive games and we have won them both - that is key to try and build a bit of confidence. Obviously we know that there are things that we need to work on because we don't want to give teams presents the way we did today for the first goal.
