A Big Thank You From the DAFC Board
Monday, 26th Nov 2012for Show Your Support Saturday
We would like to say a very big thank you to all of our fans for Saturday.
Clearly some managed to encourage others to come along, some perhaps for the first time.We hope that a 4-0 win and the fact that the Pars are Scottish football's top goalscorers will encourage everyone to stay with us and help Jim Jefferies' team to try to win promotion.
We also sold more programmes, more 50/50 tickets, and more catering than we normally do among our home support, so we are genuinely very grateful for everyone's efforts.
As a result of our improved revenue from Saturday's game, we have been able to pay the players their full wages up-to-date.We know that this is something that our fans have felt strongly about and we know that our players deserve great credit for their professionalism and understanding through these difficult times. For that reason alone we are delighted to be able to make this announcement.
We are also grateful to the fund-raising efforts of Pars Alive and wish them good luck with their endeavours. This week we are making arrangements to have further discussions with the Pars Supporters Trust, the Centenary Club and other supporters' organisations to listen to their ideas about how we develop the future of the club together.
Although Saturday was great for everyone, we still have a three week gap before our next home game and we still need everyone to help us to get through this difficult period.
Please use this opportunity to take up any of the many deals that the club currently has on offer - from room hire and conferences, to hospitality and the Club Shop, and to season tickets and events. In this way you can help the club and get something for yourself too.
The club are also extremely keen to hear from any fans who may be able to assist with important fundraising initiatives such as the Supporters Wall and Pars Post if you can email tracey@dafc.co.uk for more details.
