CHANGES TO THE DAFC BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Dunfermline Athletic Football Club would like to announce that Ronnie Weymes has taken the decision to resign from the Board of Directors after 3 years.
Ronnie, who is a life long fan of the club, first joined the board in June 2007 bringing his vast business knowledge and passion for the club. Ronnie is the Managing Director of Multi-Valve Technology, which is still based in Dunfermline, and has offices in Dubai, Nigeria and London.
Ronnie Weymes said "this has been an extremely difficult decision for me to take, however my ever increasing business commitments, particularly in the Middle East, would limit the amount of time I would be able to devote to the Club in the future and therefore I felt that now was the right time for me to step down from the Board. The Club has a very exciting season ahead and I am extremely optimistic that the First Team will be mounting a serious challenge for promotion. I am also very encouraged by the youngsters that the Club are developing and I will make every attempt to follow results and attend games when my time allows."
Chief Executive for DAFC, Bill Hodgins commented, "it is with great sadness that Ronnie has decided to leave the Board, however, the success of his business has placed difficult time constraints upon him and we all wish him even further success in the future. Working with Ronnie on the Board I have seen first hand his passion for the Club and his challenging and creative personality will be greatly missed."
Dunfermline Athletic Football Club would like to thank Ronnie for his time and commitment over the last 3 years.
