Dunfermline Athletic Football Club was formed 125 years ago today.

Dunfermline Cricket Club formed a football section in 1874 and the first games are played at the Town Green but on 2nd June 1885 Dunfermline Athletic Football Club was formed at the Old Inn when the football members of the club decided to break away to form their own organisation.
