Wednesday, 26th May 2010Jim McIntyre signs two players from the north.
Dunfermline Athletic are delighted to announce the signing of two new players for next season's campaign.
Young goalkeeper Kyle Allison has signed a one year deal and central defender, Alex Keddie has signed his contract for two years after agreeing a pre-contract earlier this year.
Goalkeeper Kyle Allison signed from Inverness Caley Thistle on Wednesday 26th May 2010. He told the website that he was glad to return to the land of his roots:-
"I am a local lad, born and bred.I have been at Inverness for two years and previous to that I was at Cowdenbeath who I joined from Rosyth Civil Service Colts."
Having spent most of last season on the bench behind Terry Butcher, Kyle hopes to get a chance of first team football at Dunfermline:-
"Obviously I think they will take in experience ahead of me, but it is a chance to go and prove what I can do. I played a League Cup game for Inverness and we won 4-0, so one game, one clean sheet..
"I was on the bench every other game for the Championship winning team.It was good to win the league but I was released by Inverness.I had accommodation in Inverness but travelled down every weekend.I am pleased not to be travelling up and down the A9 every week.
Kyle is delighted to have signed for the Pars and he already knows a lot of supporters. His aim at Dunfermline is to gain more experience and he his looking forward to working alongside Greg Paterson:-
"I hope to get the opportunity to play and show what I can do. I know Greg from playing against him when we were younger.I don't think I played against him in boys football or when I used to play outfield when I was younger, in the Soccer 7's."
His transformation to goalkeeper came at the Soccer 7s when he felt that he could do better than the other stoppers:-
"I got annoyed at the keeper so I ended up going in goals and that was it."
