Pars Player of the Year - Steven Bell
Steven Bell joined from Stirling Albion in May 2008 on a two year deal, and was rewarded with a two year extension after an impressive season in the Pars midfield. Steven is an energetic midfielder who notched up 34 starts in season 2009-10 including three off the bench. He scored a total of 11 goals.
Jim McIntyre said "Steven has been tremendous for us this season, becoming a real driving force from midfield and of course his goalscoring threat is invaluable. Last season he was unfortunate with injury and we were forced to play him out of position but he has excelled this season while playing in his natural position."
Pars Under 19 Player of the Year - Jordan White
Jordan has continued to progress this year having another impressive year with the under 19s and made his first team debut this year, coming off the bench in the Alba Challenge Cup against Queen of the South. He joined Clyde on loan in November and played 22 times for the Bully Wee, scoring four goals. Impressive for a striker who has been playing as a winger in most of those 22 appearances.
Jim McIntyre has high hopes for Jordan next season. "Jordan has progressed while on loan to Clyde and despite being played out of position has been very impressive for Clyde. I certainly hope Jordan can break into the first team squad next season."
Pars Young Player of the Year - Joe Cardle
Joe Cardle arrived at Dunfermline for the beginning of season 2009-10 and proved an instant hit with the fans. The 23 year old winger from Blackpool is an exciting player to watch and his dazzling displays on the wing have seen him play 31 times collecting 8 goals including an impressive hat trick at Partick Thistle after coming on at half time!
Jim McIntyre explained the reasons behind Joe's award:-
"Joe is an exciting player to watchg, he's got fantastic talent and can leave opponents for dead during matches. His goal tally this season is impressive for a wide player and is testament to his talent. Next season we are looking for Joe to continue his good form and become more consistent."
