Manager on Friday
Friday, 16th Apr 201016/04/10: "We just have to concentrate on ourselves. If we play the way we can play then we will win the game."
Jim McIntyre takes his side north on Saturday to face title winners in waiting, Inverness Caley Thistle. On Friday lunchtime the Pars Manager gave his thought:-
"Inverness are on a fantastic unbeaten run and they have got themselves up there. We know it will be a tough game tomorrow, they will be looking at winning the next couple and that will be them over the line. We have just got to try, do what we have been doing, keep playing football and we will be going there to try to win the game."
Macca knows that if results went their way (if Dundee lost and Ross County only drew) and Inverness did win then Terry Butcher's boys could win the league tomorrow.
"Inverness are in good form, the whole team is and they have the top goalscorer in the Division but we have more than one player to worry about. We just have to concentrate on ourselves. If we play the way we can play then we will win the game."
The Manager agreed that Inverness are where they are in the league because they have been so consistent this season.
"Consistency is everything in this league, St Johnstone proved it last year with a 20 odd unbeaten run and Inverness have done likewise and that takes you to the top of the league. If you put that kind of run together in any league, then you are going to be there or thereabouts. That has obviously let us down this season, consistency, so that is something we want to try and improve towards the end of the season.
Macca confirmed that he would have the same squad available as that who travelled to Ayr last weekend.
