Steven McDougall Post QOS
Monday, 15th Mar 2010"I have been out for a while with a broken toe so this was my first start in six weeks, I am feeling it a little bit now but it is worth it for the three points and to get a goal as well."
Steven McDougall was delighted with his successful return to the starting eleven - his first inclusion since 23rd January:-
"I was delighted to score in my first start for a while. I have been out for a while with a broken toe so this was my first start in six weeks, I am feeling it a little bit now but it is worth it for the three points and to get a goal as well."
The 24 year old who joined Dunfermline from Airdrie United at the start of this season, praised the delivery from Calum Woods that set him up for his second ever Pars goal:-
"It was a great ball, he has got that with his right foot or left foot - it was a great pick out." That was just the start of events that saw Calum score his seventh Pars goal and then being red carded near the end. Steven added "It was an eventful game but that is what the fans come to see, as long as we get the win we are happy with that."
The win took Dunfermline to 40 points eight behind Dundee who showed signs of weakening in losing to Raith Rovers at home in the Active Nation Scottish Cup. Steven took stock of the league situation:-
"We still have a lot to play for. Before today's game we were sitting sixth, there are plenty teams above us with more points who will be saying the same thing but we will play every game and hope to win. We will see where that takes us, we will not look too far ahead and take one game at a time. Hopefully at the end of the season we will be up there."
