Greg Fleming Post QOS
Sunday, 14th Mar 2010"We are all disappointed that we lost a goal but we still won so we are happy with that."
Greg Fleming expressed how pleased the players were to defeat Queen of the South on Saturday. It was clear that defeats on the last four meetings at East End Park had been preying on their minds. Like his Manager he took started by commenting on laying the ghost of previous Queen of the South visits:-
"Queens are a good team as they showed when they came up here and beat us 4-1 and went on to beat us here in the cup so we are delighted with the win.
"I had a couple of good saves but it is down to the lads in front of me did really well restricting them to a couple of chances. We needed to stay concentrated and thankfully I managed to make a few saves."
It is always comfortable for a goalkeeper when the goals are going in at the other end, Greg agreed:-
"Of course it is, I will take that any day of the week - a quiet game and us getting a victory. We are all disappointed that we lost a goal but we still won so we are happy with that."
With Calum Woods facing suspension after his 86th minute red card it means that a change will require to be made to the back four:-
"If you look at it we have Greg Ross to come in at right back; Greg is a good player himself so there will be no problem with him playing there."
Next up is the Active Nation Scottish Cup semi finalists, Raith Rovers. As a Dunfermline supporter this match is one to look forward to for the 23 year old keeper:-
"I relish every game but derbies are a bit more special, hopefully we can pick up the points in the next two games."
