Preview Ross County
Wednesday, 10th Feb 2010Dunfermline have won two of the six league games between the sides. The last two two have been drawn.
After two Scottish Cup ties, the Pars turn their attentions back to league business with the trip to Dingwall. Awaiting them there is Derek Adams side who trounced Stirling Albion 9-0 last Saturday in the Active Nations Scottish Cup but if Dunfermline can repeat their cup form, albeit in defeat to Celtic, then it will be quite a contest.

In March last year just as it looked like finishing 1-1, former East End Park favourite, Craig Brewster struck with a wonder goal to keep all three points in the Highlands. When the Fifers returned less than four weeks later they won 3-1 with Calum Woods, Andy Kirk and Graham Bayne scoring to avoid being dragged into the fight to avoid the play off ninth place in the First Division.
The first meeting this season turned out to be an entertaining goalless draw, then when the two met again at East End Park in December they shared six goals. It had looked like the home side had come successfully back from 2-1 down to lead 3-2 at half time but in 85 minute Iain Vigurs scored the equaliser to kill the Pars joy.

Ross County can overtake league leaders Dundee if they win the three games in hand they have over them. Jim McIntyre of course has other ideas meaning to close the gap between the Pars and County starting on Saturday.
Only Raith Rovers and Dundee have beaten Ross County at Victoria Park this season and they have scored 22 goals in their last five home games. The Pars won 4-1 at Thistle in their last away game and have only suffered league defeats at Partick, Dundee (2) and Ayr this season.
