22/01/10: "They are a well organised side, they have good experienced players who have played at a higher level than this. You always get a tough game."

Manager Jim McIntyre wants his team's good displays to count in their next game at Firhill on Saturday.

"The last game at Firhill was one of our worst performances and we will certainly not play as bad as we did that day. We have been playing well lately but we have got to take the performance at Dundee and turn it into three points. There have been too many times this season when we have said 'yes, we were the better team' but football is about winning games. We are pleased with the way we are playing, we look a threat. We just need to cut out the silly mistakes as a team.

"Games against Thistle are renowned for being close and tight, there's never much more than the odd goal in it. We won 3-1 the last time with a late goal. They are a well organised side, they have good experienced players who have played at a higher level than this. You always get a tough game."

Macca is determined to prevent losing goals in the way they did at Dundee:-

"We show the video to the players and hope that they learn from it because we seem to get punished for mistakes. There weren't that many made last week but the ones that were made resulted in a goal. Players need to learn from the video."

Paul Willis picked up a slight injury in the bounce game against Rangers on Wednesday but will be fit for next week. Graham Bayne and Stephen Glass are out injured. Sam Morrow is still training with the Pars.

Harry McGregor and Scott McBride have had their loan spells extended at Berwick Rangers and Cowdenbeath. Lee Graham has returned from Clyde but Jordan White remains at Broadwood until the end of the month.

"All we asked for was a fair hearing and we got that. We are delighted with the decision that gives us a chance to progress in the competition, that's all we ever wanted. We know that we broke the rules and we have publicly apologised for that.

"Now we are back in the competition it is up to us. We need to start all over again with the right attitude and try to get the right result to take us through to the next round. There's a big carrot for both teams. No two games are the same and one thing that's for sure is that Stenny will be much better than they were the first time around.

"We will have our work cut out and it is up to us to go there and get a positive result. At least we will be prepared for the astroturf since we have been forced to train on it for the last month!"
