Statement from DAFC's Chairman John Yorkston

Dunfermline Athletic 125th Anniversary

We were deeply concerned to read some of the comments on the unofficial site, dafc.net and in the press today. Derogatory statements with no basis of truth are deeply upsetting for staff members.

For the avoidance of doubt and to prevent any further potentially, libellous statements in the wider media during our appeal process to the SFA, I'd like to clarify that the ultimate responsibility for all aspects of first team administration and completion of team sheets lies with the Manager and coaching staff.

We are all deeply sorry for distress to fans and staff alike, pulled into this very unfortunate sequence of events.

Jim McIntyre issued a very public apology as soon as the error with Calum Woods was discovered, and is now even more determined to continue with his teams' recent progress in the league.
