Victorious manager, Jim McIntyre was pleased with his team's impressive 7-1 win over Stenhousemuir.
"These games are all about your attitude; you are expected to win and I said to the boys before the game that they can be long afternoons. It is all about how you start the game. You have to play with real tempo, if you do that and be clinical then it is hard to live with. I felt that we did that and obviously the game was won by half time.
"I was pleased with the way they went out in the second half and continued to try and further increase the lead.
"It is always nice to have a few players on the scoresheet. There were some really good goals today. Cardle's goal was exceptional, that is three times he has done that this season by cutting inside and he was unlucky not to do it again just after that.
"The boys are a great buch to work with, they do give their all - they make mistakes at times like every player - but they are willing to give their all to try and do the things that we are asking them to do. I am pleased that we created numerous chances.
"I am happy to be in the hat for the next round and it doesn't bother me who we get. We will not think any further than that."
The only controvesy was caused by Calum Woods appearance
Macca was made aware of the doubt over Calum Woods eligibility - the SFA website showed a one match suspension - but he said that he had had the email from the SFA checked out and was told that there was no outstanding suspension.
Stenhousemuir manager John Coughlin spoke about this after the match:-
"We will check it out. We got a severe doing today, we do not want to come back for another one."
