Manager John Coughlin hopes the weather allows him to bring his Stenhousemuir side to East End Park this Saturday for the Active Nations Scottish Cup tie against Dunfermline. The former St Mirren gaffer was appointed Warriors Manager in October 2007 and he achieved promotion in his first full season as manager with the club at the end of season 2008/09. John`s playing career was with Newtongrange Star JFC, Meadowbank Thistle and Berwick Rangers before injury cut short his career.
There have been 76 meetings between these teams. Dunfermline have won 34, Stenhousemuir 22 and 20 matches have been drawn. The best Pars result was an 11-2 win in 1930. Stenhousemuir`s last win at East End Park was 15 visits back just before Jock Stein arrived in February 1960 but that was in the Scottish Cup. Their best win at East End Park is also in the Scottish Cup in February 1950.
