Managers Post Inverness
Saturday, 19th Dec 200919/12/09 JM:- "It was in very tricky conditions for the players to put on any great deal of quality football.
After the goalless draw against Inverness Caley Thistle on Saturday Manager Jim McIntyre said:-
"It was very tough on both sets of players out there; it was touch and go whether the game would go ahead today and credit to the ground staff who managed to get it on. It made it very difficult and you could see that there were a lot of misplaced passes from both sides. It was very tricky conditions for the players to put on any great deal of quality football.
"I didn't think Caley created any great threat, there were a lot of high balls to deal with but it terms of clear cut chances I didn't think there was a great deal."
Greg Paterson came in for his league debut and achieved a creditable shut out. His gaffer commented:-
"Greg did fine when he was called upon, he made a couple of decent saves and I was very pleased."
Macca confirmed that the week ahead will be work as normal with the players training on Christmas Day.
Inverness Caley Thistle boss, Terry Butcher summed up after the game:-
"We are disappointed because we had a lot of possession, passed it well but didn't have the finishing touch. Both sides will say that was a missed opportunity but we have Dundee on Saturday at home and we have to play them twice after so there is still room for a chance."
