Graham Bayne scores for Dunfermline

Graham Bayne came off the bench on Saturday to score his third goal of the season:-

"It's funny how it happens, you can go through a few games without scoring then come on and score with your first touch."

Graham's previous goals were against Airdrie United in August and against Hearts in the Co-operative Insurance Cup and he felt that his equaliser was just reward:-

"We were outstanding in the first half but at any level if you don't score when you are on top as much as that it can come back and bite you. It takes just one good delivery or one scrambled goal but the way it worked out was fantastic. I don't know who crossed it but what a ball in it was and I got a good header at the front post.

"It has happened to us two or three times this season and it would have been a shame to have to come out to say that we were the better team but we lost. I'd rather it would be the other way around but I am just glad that we managed to dig something out of it in the end.

"It is frustrating for any player sitting on the bench but the boys were outstanding. The draw was probably the least we would have deserved, I think most people watching that game would agree as well.

"We went four games in the league losing on the trot. It was harsh to lose the four but we have come back and gone five games undefeated now. A run like that when the league is so tight drags you up a fair bit. A draw is not as good as a victory.

Graham accepted his place on the bench ahead of starting:-

"I played plenty games in a row but the Manager spoke to me and said that it was time for me to take time out having played so many games. Last week when we changed it I thought it worked really well so it made good sense to stick with what got us the victory the week before.

"You take every game on its merits but hopefully I have staked my claim again for a start. I will wait my chance, I know that I have to do better."
