Jim McIntyre felt that his side possibly did enough to win the match against Dundee but they just couldn't put the ball in the net.
"That is the crucial part. Some of our play at times, especially in the first half was excellent. Dundee were always going to have a big part in the game and they did. Obviously after the half time words they came out the brighter but it was a really cheap goal that we gave away from a setpiece. They had been warned about that and that was the disappointing thing.
"You think 'here we go' having played so well but we made a change that paid off.
"I thought Willie Gibson today was different class and David Graham bothered them with his pace and movement and I was delighted for big Baynee to come on and head in a goal from a great delivery."
In the end it took a fantastic save from Dundee keeper Tony Bullock to keep a hold of a point for Dundee:-
"David Graham said that the ball get stuck between his feet and he couldn't slide it low so he tried to put it in the corner but it was a great save from big Bully.
"The cutting edge just wasn't there. We were creating plenty and our style of play is very pleasing but there has to be a cutting edge. We will keep working at it, training them and telling them what areas to get into. There were so many balls that we put across the face of the box today that we needed somebody on the end of them. Especially Andy Kirk and Steven Bell when Bell was there to step on to it but the shout wasn't early enough or whatever. It has got to be a goal.
"I am so proud of the players today, they were excellent after going a goal behind and come back looking like the team that was going to win it. Credit to Dundee, they showed what a good side they are as well.
"This gives us a platform; we are certainly not the finished article but we are defending miles better and if you defend well you always give yourself a platform to go on and win the game."
Macca confirmed that Calum Woods half time substitution was because of an abductor strain sustained towards the end of the first 45.
