Dowie signs for Pars

Andy Dowie signs for 2 years. Former Rangers youth finds route to Dunfermline via Stanraer and Dingwall.

Dunfermline Athletic are delighted to announce the signing of Andy Dowie on a two year contract.
Andy has previously played for Rangers, Partick Thistle, Stranraer and most recently Ross County.
The 26 year old centre back successfully passed a medical at Dunfermline Academy of Sport on Tuesday morning.

Having made his debut for Rangers at just 18, Andy went on to play for Partick before joining Stranraer for the 2005-06 season.

His past experiences of playing at Stranraer and more recently Ross County should bring a strong understanding to the back line. Andy brings experience beyond his years having won 12 Scotland Under-21 caps in addition to his experience at club level.
