"I was trying to get it on my right but I thought it was a bit too far out and I took another touch and then just smashed it. I just tried to hit the target and lucky enough it has gone in.
"We were putting pressure on them all the way and I thought if we were patient we could get a goal. Luckily enough we did."
Calum agreed that it was possibly his best ever goal.
"I am happy with it. I like to come inside and if I get a chance, have a shot."
The draw leaves Dunfermline 12 points behind St Johnstone and while Calum agreed that the gap was considerable, he felt that Dunfermline had to concentrate on winning as many games as possible.
"Unfortunately tonight we couldn't do that but we would like to finish as high as possible. We must keep pushing right until the end of the season. The league is our main priority, it has been since the start of the season ."
That might take a few more special efforts like Calum's 91st minute goal this evening. He claimed that his Manager always encourages him to get forward, get a chance to come inside and shoot.
"We are not happy with the draw, we want to be winning every game, but we couldn't tonight."
