Rory Loy Post Clyde
Sunday, 21st Dec 2008"I am feeling good; I trained all week and I am enjoying being involved with a first team. Obviously to start on Saturday was great, I am just disappointed that we couldn't win."
Rory Loy enjoyed his first start for the Pars in Saturday's SFL First Division match against Clyde.
"First half it was quite tight, second half I felt it opened up a little bit and I got a lot more space."
His inclusion was in a 4-3-3 line up that meant Kevin Harper dropped out to make way for the striker signed on loan from Rangers just eight days before.
"I have heard that Dunfermline have struggled a bit at home and they wanted to try a change in formation and get at them from the word go. If they hadn't score so soon after we went 2-1 up then we would have gone on and won the game."
The 20 year old has just come to Dunfermline to get experience but the East End crowd made their disapproval known when Loy was substituted in 64 minutes to make way for Kevin Harper:-
"Second half I got a few good crosses in but it's the Manager's decision at the end of the day and he saw it that it was best for the team that I came off and Harps went on. Harps did very well when he came on, so maybe it was the correct decision."
"I am feeling good; I trained all week and I am enjoying being involved with a first team. Obviously to start on Saturday was great, I am just disappointed that we couldn't win."
The match was a new experience for Rory since the attendance on Saturday is much bigger than that attending SPL Reserve games.
"It was good, obviously you want to play in front of a crowd. I thoroughly enjoyed it, it is so much different playing in front of fans, more enjoyable."
