New Directors appointed
Monday, 24th Nov 200824/11/08: Dunfermline Athletic Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of new Directors who will join the Board with immediate effect.

Dunfermline Athletic Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of new Directors who will join the Board with immediate effect.
John Yorkston, Chairman highlighted that each member has been selected with the specific aim of assisting the existing Board in meeting their ambitious plans for the future, of which returning to the SPL remains the key priority.
Additionally objectives have been set to expand considerably the Community Programme, the clubs Youth Development Programme and to develop over the next few years our Football Academy at Pitreavie. All these initiatives will require considerable input from the Board over the year ahead.
The new Board members are:-
Iain Jones
A lifelong supporter and Managing Director of KDM Shopfitting based in Rosyth.
Craig McWhirter
Who with Jim Leishman has been restructuring our Youth Development Programme over the past year. Craig is Managing Director of a local business, Bitwise based at Pitreavie.
Karen Masterton
Karen has worked with DAFC for over six years and joined DAFC after being a senior manager with HBOS. Karen is now in overall charge of the clubs Commercial Operations.
Stephen Curtis
Managing Director of Steve Curtis Cars, Dalgety Bay and a long-term supporter of the club.
Gordon McDougall
Formerly Chairman of Cowdenbeath Football Club. Gordon has served on numerous SFA Committee's and has an extensive knowledge of the game.
Bill Hodgins, Chief Executive commented "I am delighted at the calibre of the new Directors who bring with them many years of commercial and business experience in addition to having a considerable passion for the Club and a tremendous desire to see it achieve future success."
John Yorkston added "We are delighted that we have strengthened the board with these new appointments, we are always happy to have discussions with those interested in DAFC and certainly is anyone was interested in joining the Board then I would be happy to have a chat with them."
