Manager Post Airdrie
Tuesday, 4th Nov 200804/11/08: "The good thing about having the game on a Tuesday night after a defeat on Saturday, it is a chance to get yourself back amongst the pack.
"I thought the quality of the goals was excellent. Paul Gallacher has had to make three or four great saves as Airdrie pressed really hard to get back in the game. It was a real tough game and I never felt safe at any point."
It was good to bounce back after the adverse results on Saturday:-
"That was the good thing about having the game on a Tuesday night after a defeat on Saturday. It is a chance to get yourself back amongst the pack. We have managed to do that from our game in hand. We had spoken about it and the need to stay close to the leaders."
The Pars Manager gave an update on the injuries that caused Calum Woods, then Kevin Harper and latterly Simon Wiles to be substituted:-
"Kevin has hurt his knee, Calum Woods has hurt his calf - it is not the first time that has happened this year. Even one of the subs Simon Wiles has injured his knee as well.
"I had to reshuffle a few times this season but credit to the boys for that because it has upset the shape a few times but it has not stopped us getting the result. We weren't at our best tonight, we never passed the ball as well as we can but we came here for three points and we have managed to achieve that."
