Mary Leishman passed away today, Tuesday 24th February

Dunfermline Athletic Football Club have today been informed of Jim Leishman's tragic loss. Mary, his wife for thirty years, today lost her battle against cancer.

Mary (aged 53), had been diagnosed with cancer in September 2008 and had been fighting bravely ever since.

Today was her 30th Wedding Anniversary and she hung on so she was able to wish Jim a Happy Anniversary. She died with her family around her

Mary leaves behind a daughter, Kate and son Jamie.

Jim and his family would like to thank all their friends and family for the messages of support they have received over the last few months.

Details of her funeral are to be confirmed and once we have these details we will post them on the web.
