Graham Bayne Post Livingston
Saturday, 30th Aug 2008"Once we scored we were definitely in the ascendancy and that's why it is even harder to take. Having not played well but got yourself back into the match and then to come away defeated."
Man of the Match Graham Bayne felt that the first half performance was "terrible".
"In the second half we got a lot closer to them. We talked about a couple of tactical things at half time and it worked. We got a goal back from not playing well but then it was just sickening to lose a goal when you are in the ascendancy. We had given ourselves that chance after not playing well, but that's what the good teams in the league have got to do - get points when you are not playing well.
"You are disappointed to lose any goals. There was a debate about their first goal - whether or not it was offside but it will be hard to tell because there were not many cameras at the game to give us much evidence. But we have got to react to it, we haven't and the ball was in the back of the net."
Andy Kirk headed in the equaliser early in the first half:
"It was a lovely goal. Simon (Wiles) crossed it, a magnificent fired ball across, Kirkie's gambled at the front post and he has got a great header on it for a fantastic finish.
"Once we scored we were definitely in the ascendancy and that's why it is even harder to take. Having not played well but got yourself back into the match and then to come away defeated."
Graham thought that 'green boots' Leigh Griffiths would feel fortunate to snatch the winner:-
"It took two or three ricochets and he sclaffed the shot into the bottom corner and we have not defended it well, that was the difference. It is going to be a long two weeks until we face Dundee. They had a bad result today so it will be a similar feeling for the next fortnight for them and I am sure they will be as eager to get to the next game." MATCH PICTURES
