Managers Post Livi
Saturday, 30th Aug 200830/08/08: "Both goals were ridiculous, especially the second one.
Manager Jim McIntyre was disappointed to watch his team fall to their first home defeat of this league campaign:-
"We pushed and pushed to try and get back into the game. We got a great equaliser then Kirkie hit the bar, Bell had a great chance, Bayne had a header - it just wasn't falling for us in front of goal. I am very disappointed to lose the game.
"Both goals were ridiculous, especially the second one. It was a bouncing ball and you just have to defend it. It was difficult to see from where I was for the other one. The midfield runner has not been tracked and if you don't track them, you are going to suffer.
"The boy was in an offside position and we played the offside. The midfield runner has made the run and got the touch. It is very difficult to see from where we were. We will need to see what its like on the video.
"We had all stepped out but if the defence is holding a good line and playing the striker offside then the midfield has got to react and go with the runner. That is just not good enough. If you are going to do that you can expect to be punished."
Livingston Manager Roberto Landi was delighted with the way his team played football on the deck. They played with a "big heart" for what he described as 99 minutes. "Big, big compliments to the players. They worked very very hard in the training sessions during the week and after that, you can see the result on the field. I know there can be bad times but for now we are top of the league.
"This is a team we built from nothing, the players they are fantastic, believe me. We will work from match to match. Until now we are top of the table. Our goal is to stay in first position but that will be very very difficult."
