Owen Morrison returns to Derry

Owen Morrison's registration with Dunfermline Athletic was cancelled on Thursday 14th February.

Owen Morrison has joined up with his former boss Stephen Kenny at Derry City. Hailing from Northern Ireland, the 26 year old made 47 appearances for Dunfermline after joining from Bradford City for the start of the 2006-2007 season. His first goal came in the 1-1 draw with Rangers in August 2006. The last two of his four Dunfermline goals were in the Challenge Cup match versus Clyde at Broadwood.

Goal number two was a late equaliser at Livingston in August.

Owen was previously with Derry in 1997 but only made three appearances before leaving for England. There he had spells at Hull City, Stockport County and both Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United.
