Agreement needed on keeper before the Bells!

Paul Gallacher is keener than ever to stay at East End Park. He described a fresh buzz about the place since Jim McIntyre has been installed as Caretaker Manager but he is very aware that Saturday's match could well be his last for Dunfermline.

The loan deal that brought the Scottish internationalist from Norwich City to Dunfermline expires on 1st January. He made his debut against Stirling Albion on 25th August and Stirling could also be his last opponents.

While agreeing that the Pars had to weather a storm against Morton, "the boys at the back were superb" he expressed his hopes not to be heading back to Norfolk:-.

"I definitely want to stay, Roddy (McKenzie) is out with a long term injury. It's unfortunate for him being injured it is never nice but it opens the door for myself and Sean (Murdoch). We are battling away and vying for the number one spot.

"I am loving getting the chance to play football at a decent standard. When Jim Leishman put the call in I was more than happy to accept. We have been looking for a while to extend it but there is a new hurdle been placed in front of us now. We hope to get that rectified by the weekend."

Paul would only say that the hurdle was between Norwich and his agent and there is still no indication whether or not any move would be a permanent one:-

"I would like to stay here until the end of the season at the very minimum. I am enjoying my football, they are a great bunch of lads and we are really gelling together. It has been a torrid season, we have put the fans through quite a lot with ups and downs. Hopefully there's more of an up just now."
