Jim Hamilton discussed Saturday's draw against Clyde and he feels that his team mates gave their all for their newly installed Caretaker Manager, Jim McIntyre.  Had the post at both ends, the crossbar and some near things worked in Dunfermline's favour then the result could have been so much different:-

"I think it showed today that the boys have got a bit of spirit about them.  That was the most chances we have created for a long time.  Unfortunately we have not put enough away but commitment-wise you couldn't fault us on that.

"We are disappointed we never got the result especially after them going down to ten men. It was good to get back out there and do our talking on the park.

"You know it's not your day when you hit the woodwork three times.  Just look at the goal they got, another mistake, an error whatever you want to call it - it was unfortunate but it was down to the conditions as well.

"A lot say that when we go 1-0 down we chuck it but we showed we kept going and kept going.  Getting the goal quite early helped us out."

The Pars equaliser just seven minutes after Clyde had been presented with an early Christmas present certainly gave the Pars plenty time to notch a winner for Jim McIntyre but Hammy himself had a gift wrapped chance close to the end that would have totally transformed the atmosphere at East End Park:-

"It was stuck in my feet a little bit, right in between.  A wee bit wider or whatever I would have put it in the other corner.  Everybody said if I should have just put it in at the near post but you don't think that at the time when the ball is stuck right between your feet.  I probably still should have scored but the goalie has pulled off another good save."

The 32 year old striker has been impressed by the Caretaker Manager since Stephen Kenny's enforced departure on Tuesday:-

"The boys know what he is like, what he wants and since he has been in the training has been really great.  The boys are enjoying his training but whoever comes in or if Jim (McIntyre) gets it - we don't know what's going to happen - we have to knuckle down, work hard and start getting results.

"The boys totally respect him, it showed today - we were 100% behind him.  Whoever comes in or if there was anybody watching in the stand I think they will look at the squad we have got here and see that they have something to work with.

"If we keep performing like we did today - obviously we did not get the result - but the performance was excellent. If we can get that every week then I don't think we will be far away."

What has Jim changed this week?

"Different managers have different training methods and it has been nice and short and sharp.  It has been really good.I thought the boys were buzzing in the last couple of days and going into the game.  He got the boys up for it today and we are 100% behind him, you just never know how long he is going to be there. It is up to the club to sort that one out."
