Livingston lost the last time they came to Dunfermline in April 2006. The Pars came from being behind twice to win that day thanks to a Mark Burchill hattrick. That resurrected the Pars hopes of SPL survival and this time around a victory is needed to prevent a similar tussle to remain in the First Division. Dunfermline are only two points ahead of their opponents who are joint bottom but the Fifers have the worst goal difference in the league.

Both teams will be looking for all the three points to make a significant difference to their league position. A win could take the Pars into fourth place but should Livi win and other results go against the Pars they could hit the bottom.
