Stephen Kenny ahead of Hamilton

"If we get a win it will give us a big lift to go on to Stirling next week.

Stephen Kenny spoke to the website on Friday and confirmed that Bobby Ryan and Jamie Harris had come through Tuesday night's reserve match against Montrose with no ill effects.  Jamie Harris needs more games but Bobby Ryan is likely to be in the squad to face Hamilton.  Jim McIntyre played the full 90 minutes as well but the Manager had some disappointing news on the striker:-

"Jim McIntyre has had a kidney infection for the last couple of days, so we will have to see how he is.

"The players who played against Queen of the South are all available. Hamilton have started well; in any league it would be hard to get seven wins and a draw from your first nine. They have had an exceptional start and from our point of view we did not have the best of starts but we have had three wins in the last week there with three clean sheets.

"We know that we are capable of clicking and having a good season here. We have found ourselves in a position after the Clyde defeat where we had to show some good, consistent character and make sure that we bounced back with a couple of victories. We have managed to do that so it will be a tight game against Hamilton.

"Hamilton v Dundee last time was a tight game and Hamilton won it with a setpiece near the end.I expect our game against Hamilton to be as tight.They play the same system and it works for them; 4-5-1, it has been really effective for them this season.

"From our point of view, I am more concerned about us.We need to defend well and have a cutting edge in the final third to create more chances.We can do that."

Greg Shields (back injury), Scott Morrison (knee ligaments), Stephen Simmons (ankle injury), Aaron Labonte, Greg Ross (knee op), Scott Thomson (knee op) and Kevin Harper are still out through injury.

"We will get players back now we are down to one game per week but we can't look beyond Saturday. If we get a win it will give us a big lift to go on to Stirling next week. It will be a good win if we can get it.  We will still have a strong side and some of our young players have done well in recent weeks as well."
