Sol Bamba Post Partick
Sunday, 30th Sep 2007"Today we just needed to get a victory, the performance was not very important today. This is what we need for confidence, just one victory makes it better for the next game...............
Sol Bamba has played in six of the Pars eight league matches this season, only missing the opening match of the season and the Stirling Albion match through suspension. Clutching the Man of the Match champagne Sol talked about the Partick game:-
"It wasn't a good performance but we are pleased to take full points. That was the most important thing.
"Mark Burchill works hard every week in training so I happy for him that he scored today. Now his confidence is great; he wanted to keep playing but the gaffer said 'we don't want to take the risk'."
"The last two weeks it was not easy because a lot of players were injured and some young players played, and played very well. It is good for everyone because everyone wants to play every game - I think it is good for the team.
"Today we just needed to get a victory, the performance was not very important today. This is what we need for confidence, just one victory makes it better for the next game."
Sol was the Pars Man of the Match in their last Cup Final at Hampden in May and now only Ayr United stand between them and another Cup Final, albeit the Challenge Cup.
"The gaffer said everyone who was involved will play on Tuesday, so I just need to rest and recover good. I will be ready for the game on Tuesday. The league is more important so we just need to win every game for the confidence."
